Here are some talks and working bees for you to come along to. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

ECCHMP Talk and Catch-Up Meeting

SOWN members and all those involved in the Enoggera Catchment Creek Health Monitoring Program (ECCHMP) are invited to a catch-up talk and meeting this Saturday regarding progress and the future of the program.

Time: 8 October at 4.00 pm.
Place: Twahamwe Cottage, 57 Paten Road, The Gap.

Leo Lee will present a talk on the results of the creek survey and monitoring program so far.

Brisbane Biodiversity Seminar

Brisbane City Council has organised the next Brisbane Biodiversity Seminar. Learn about the ways citizen science is being used in Brisbane. There are three great speakers covering a diverse range of topics:
* Jessie Cappadonna - Ways to get involved in Citizen Science, and finding the Eastern Bristle Bird with bioacoustics
* Darryl Jones - Down the ol' dusty road: citizens and road ecology
* Norm Duke - Mangrove Monitoring in Brisbane

Date: Tuesday 11 October
Time: Supper from 6pm with talks to start at 6:30pm
Venue: Corinda Bowls Club, 58 Hall Avenue, Corinda (next to Nosworthy Park)
