Ithaca Creek People

You might see some council folk wandering along the creek in the next few weeks.

Work is currently underway letter box dropping in the Ithaca Creek Area to inform of the upcoming Pest Plant (weed) survey work in the area.

Compliance and Regulatory Services officers will soon be conducting Pest Plant (weed) survey work on properties throughout the Fish Creek Catchment area, primarily comprising the suburbs of Keperra, The Gap and Enoggera.

The survey work will be taking place in various catchments across the city with other catchments to follow.

The purpose of the survey work is to inspect private properties for the presence of State Declared Class 1 and 2 pest plants as well as Council declared pest plants. Officers will be issuing notices to private property owners directing them to manage the pest plants identified on their properties.

In the event that the Pest Survey officers locate State Declared pest plants on Council land, or receive a complaint from a private property owner regarding such pest plants on Council land, they will log a service request with the Call Centre.

Please feel free to call Philip if you have any queries in relation to the survey work program.
